ABOUT BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE

HISTORY

The Before and After School Care program started in 1993 with two sites at Sunset and Cougar Ridge Elementary. Serving just over 100 elementary children and with only 11 employees, the program quickly expanded and today we have sites at all fifteen Issaquah School District elementary schools, five middle schools and two preschools. In 2019-2020 we were serving more than two thousand students in the ages of preschool, elementary and middle school and employing more than 200 people. When COVID-19 hit in 2020-2021 we had to drastically reduce staffing and our ability to serve the families of the Issaquah School District Community.  In 2021-2022 we anticipate only being able to serve approximately 1,000 elementary students, with no middle school programs.  Even through all of this we are committed to providing a quality, engaging, safe before and after school experience for students in the Issaquah School District community.
