What a super fun week at Bear Club! As the weather is turning we've spent more time inside the past few days!! We finally have the gym back so that's been a very popular place. Tuesday we did a little science with our Franken worms! We cut gummy worms in half lengthwise then soak them in a solution of baking soda and water. Then one at a time we dropped them into a jar of vinegar! The result............it really looks like the worms are moving around in the jar!! The kids enjoyed it and its an easy experiment to try at home!! Have a great weekend!-Miss Amelia
Happy Friday Everyone!!
This week our kiddos got to make and enjoy some caramel apples! The 3rd,4th,and 5th graders made caramel and dipped their apples themselves, with a little help! ;) We had left over apples so we let our K,1,2 kiddos use the caramel sheets that they just stretched over their apples! They loved this activities. I swear each year the kids love one type of activity more than others and this year its our cooking projects. You can check back here for more fun cooking ideas! :)
PS. More pictures to come!
Yesterday we decided to do some face paint. Miss Mo did an amazing job! The kids absolutely loved this activity and we will for sure be doing it again. We had Frankenstein, a puppy, and a princess make an appearance! Check out these picture! :)
The kids got to make their own catapults! They absolutely LOVED it. I was very impressed that even our younger kids understood the process because it was a little difficult. All you need to make these at home are popsicle sticks, rubber bands, spoons, and marshmallows. We had a competition to see which catapult would go the further, they got to shoot their marshmallows across the MPR and maybe snack on few! :)
