It has been a busy week for us here at !MPACT! We've definitely been making the most of the last bit of summer weather we had this week! We started off the week by making some Tie Dye Draw String Bags, using this super cool and easy-to-use neon tie dye spray!
For Tournament Tuesday, we hosted our first Mario Kart Tournament of the year! This is always a popular activity, but the stakes were even higher this time around because we had an awesome 3D printed gold medal for the winner! It was a super close finish (the final scores were only one point apart!), but ultimately Anand proved himself worthy of such an amazing prize!
Finally, what better way to ride out the end of summer than to stop by Starbucks for some Frappuccinos?! On Thursday we braved the heat and took a walking field trip to do just that! A lot of your students were super excited, and we had a blast on our walk! While we were waiting for half of the group to get their orders, the sprinklers started going off around us and Jack found a nice way to cool off (and get drenched). Luckily it was warm enough to dry off on the way back, and Lex was able to capture the hilarious video on his phone!
We hope your weekend is as fun and eventful as the week we had here at !MPACT!
As many of you have noticed, we were gifted an awesome ping pong from our friends at IMS !MPACT. We have had a blast with it during free time, and have already held a ping pong tournament which was a hit! This addition to our space has been enjoyed by staff and students alike! Check out the pictures below.
In addition to our ping pong table, a lot of our !mpacters have been super into puzzles lately. It is a super calming activity that is great for the rainy season we are entering! Come check out the in-progress works we have spread out among our tables! :)
Have a great weekend! :)
Wow, I can hardly believe that the first full week of school has already passed us by! I'm sure that you have noticed that we've been busy here at !MPACT trying new schedules, new activities, and some new room decorations. I'm most excited about our !MPACT Profiles that we have aligning the top of our walls. This has been a fun way for us to get to know about your students! :)
Our team has been working on our profiles as well, including pictures of us in middle school! We're just waiting on Ms. Erin's and Ms. Zoe's :)
Welcome back to Beaver Lake !MPACT for the 2017-2018 school year!
I would like to take the time to formally introduce myself. My name is Tiffany Stephens and I will be the Assistant Site Coordinator for !MPACT at BLMS this year! I have worked with the BASC program at Maywood's !MPACT site for the past four summers, and I am extremely excited about my transition to Beaver Lake! I can't wait to get to know all of our families!
We have a lot of fun activities coming up, which can be found on our calendar. We are looking forward to getting input from our !MPACT-ers and making this site our own!
Please feel free to contact me or Ms. Jacki if you have any questions or comments! We'll be sure to keep you posted with what we are up to here on the blog! :)
