I was able to work and collaborate with people from all over the country to try to come up with more ways to make this the best after school option out there. I am very happy to report that what we have here in Issaquah is special and I have yet to find another program that comes close to doing what we do.
Before we get into the Oscars, lets take a look at some of the other activities we did this week!
A few weeks ago, we were caught off guard by the students from Challenger, who managed to sneak around our school and steal our beloved lawn gnome, Gnomey. We've sent out several rescue parties but we have not been successful in finding our lost friend.
And just for some nostalgic reasons we played outside with a giant parachute.
Then we made a quick stop over at IMS for a little bit of time to relax and eat some food before the 5th Annual Impact Oscars started. It was so incredible to see all of those months of hard work come to fruition and get to watch all the movies and shorts that all of these kids have been working on. Not to mention our very own Zhiyang take home the award for Best Director! Thank you to all of the families who were able to make it out to the event, it was one that both the students and staff won't soon forget!
