But in these unique times, we are presented with unique opportunities. For example, we can take a look into some things you don't normally see, my pets. Many of you students have heard me talk about my frogs and you may have even been lucky enough to see a picture of them. But in this shelter in place I have embraced my role as a full time frog dad.
Meet The Frogs:
Gorf was my first dart frog that I bought. He has a lot of color in him including blue, black, and yellow. I named him Gorf because it is the word frog backwards. And if you say it out loud, it's kind of the perfect frog name. You can normally find him sitting on the ground level in the shade of a big leaf or chilling out big time in his water dish looking easily catching fruit flies and crickets.
Yug Wen is orange and black. His name is new guy backwards. Sort of a theme I have going. I bought him because I figured Gorf must be getting lonely in the hours I am away at work. Yug Wen loves to climb and jump. You can normally look at the top of plants or high along the rock wall and find him sitting and enjoying the heat lamp. While he is more adventurous than Gorf, he is a timid hunter and struggles to catch flies. Gorf is also not the best at sharing so sometimes I have to wait for Gorf to be asleep so I can feed Yug Wen in peace.
Here's a sneak peak at a brand new video and if the frogs are willing, we might try to get them for a sit down interview later this week.
