Another week going into the record books! Despite some flu bug flying around that took down our staff this week, we were lucky enough to add Mr. Stephen to our morning program! Not only is Mr. Stephen a returning BASC veteran, he was also a student in the program the first year BASC was available at middle schools! If you drop off in the morning, be sure to say hello!
Here's a look at some of our other favorite activities of the week!
This week during Documentary Club we decided to put a pause on animals and Planet Earth, so we tuned in to an episode of How It's Made!

Did you know Grammy's are made of Grammium?
Last month due to staff being sick, we unfortunately had to postpone our walking field trip to Starbucks which we were finally able to do this Thursday! Mr. Steven led a group of 19 students down the trail to a group of Starbucks employees who I can only assume were not thrilled to see all of us. Our students were awesome throughout the entire trip, and I can't say for certain what every student got, but it looked a lot like this.

On Thursday we also made our very own stress balls! The plan was super simple! The most effective and easiest way we found to make them was to fill an empty water bottle about half way full of sand. Some of our kids used left over slime from a different activity, which didn't work as well but still got the job done.
Once that is done you want to lightly blow up a balloon and place it over the mouth hole of the water bottle and flip it over and fill it with a desired amount of sand. After that is complete you take off the balloon, let out the excess air and tie it off!
