October has been a great month. We are getting settled in and the room decorating is coming together! Our reading corner is such a nice and relaxing place for the students to enjoy. Scrapbook Club is underway and we are excited to have lots of new supplies for the students to work with. We celebrated our August, September, and October birthdays with cupcakes.Things got a little spooky around here with all the Halloween activities. Potion making was super fun and messy. Students had a great time mixing a large variety of ingredients and then placing them in a small glass vial.
So far this month, we have done tons of fun spooky themed activities, but one of my top favorites has to be Spooky Cookie Decorating (because who doesn't love a cookie?!). This activity was offered to both K-2 and 3-5 and all participants had a blast using their creative expression to design their masterpiece and enjoy their tasty treat afterwards!
Happy Friday Bobcat Club families!
Where has the month of September gone?! Time really does fly when you're having fun - we have had a blast getting to know all our Bobcat Club kiddos and are so grateful to be welcomed as a part of the Cougar Ridge community. This month we have really spent time getting to know our student community, their interests and what they each individually love about Bobcat Club. We can't wait to bring those kiddo-motivated ideas to life in the coming months!
One of my favorite activities of the month was Laffy Taffy Tuesday - we played a hilarious game of 'who's laugh is the loudest/funniest' while taking turns reading the riddles on the wrapper of each Laffy Taffy candy, and whoever won the round won that piece of candy. They loved this simple but hilarious activity that gave them the opportunity to just be themselves and have fun. And the staff sure enjoyed the giggle fest, too! :)
Thanks for a wonderful start to the year, Bobcat Club!
September has been an exciting month at Bobcat Club. Thank you for the warm welcome. I have enjoyed meeting all the Bobcat students and families. The weather has been so nice and the students have enjoyed playing outside, especially on the sand field. This past month we have done several slime experiments and the kids are really loving it! They made floam, where they actually broke up foam that was from a packing box and added it to slime. We even had two students who lead a fluffy slime class! Spa and nail salon are another big hit!
I am so happy to be a part of such a lovely community.
