This week, you got to meet with your child's teacher and discover all about how they are doing in their online learning setting. I am incredibly grateful to have gotten to have two FULL DAYS to play with your kiddos.
We created our very own Comet Club City! Over the course of both days, Kids built houses, drove their cars, got jobs, earned money and purchased items and learned many valuable lessons as citizens of Comet Club City. While this may be everyday life for adults, it is a HUGE world of imagination for the kids. Check out our pictures below to see the incredible details your kiddos put into this city!
Comet Club City Suburbs
Each classroom built their own shared home using mats and cardboard boxes. We saw furniture, dog houses, garages, front and back doors, addresses, and secret hiding places in each home. The kids spent HOURS playing in and decorating their houses. Our suburbs also included the neighborhood garden, a McDonalds, a carwash and many roads and signs which the kids navigated using their scooter-cars (complete with license plates).
Each citizen also got to choose a job they wanted to do. These included the Mayor (Daniel), the Jeweler (Mackenzie), The bookstore owner (sydney), The Pet Store/Veterinarian (Jadon and Nora), The Bakery (Max and Gabe), The Photographer (Liam and Michael), The artists (Naya and JJ), The Toy Store owners (Wyatt, Samar and Hulu), the Banker (Dima), and the police officers (Landon and Wally). These citizens worked incredibly well together to keep their city running smoothly. They also had a wonderful time purchasing eachothers items and were very excited for the store day!
Last, but not least, no city would be complete without a series of challenges. Our city was faced by a Godzilla attack, a bank robber (IT WAS MR. JAMES!), an ant infestation, the legend of the hidden treasure and a town picnic. Our citizens solved these problems together and earned many tickets to spend in the stores.
This was some of the most enjoyable days I have spent with a group of kids and I am so thankful you have shared them with me. I am sure they will come home with lots of fun stories about their days!
