This week, a group of our lovely leadership crew helped me in leading a huge cooking project for all grades! Unfortunately, we got so busy and didn't have time to take too many photos, but I'm sure you heard about it! The older kids helped me plan a cupcake bake and the younger kids got to enjoy the cupcakes by frosting them! Some even got to enjoy some edible cookie dough as a special frosting treat! This was all the idea of one of our 4th graders-- and one of the lovely ladies in the leadership club! We are looking forward to making slime today with other leadership ladies and helping to inspire the younger grades to see what it will be like for them in the future!
Thanks for raising such amazing kids Comet Club Families! I'm looking forward to seeing what other awesome ideas they come up with!
Have a great weekend.
March is all about celebrating our furry friends here at Comet Club, so this week we did some painting with our paws! It was a messy good time with lots of creativity and sensory excitement!
Have a great weekend!
My first week at Comet Club has been a whirlwind! My goal for the next few weeks is to really LISTEN to what Comet Clubbers want to experience while at our wonderful after school care program. I have already gotten to meet with many of them and we are already trying to implement some new things. Based on the feedback I have gotten from your kiddos, here is what we have got in store:
Homework Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Library
A new and exciting Positive Reinforcement system with bucks, a bank and a store full of goodies!
A redecorated Main Room with a new library and crafting area
A re-vamped Club 54 with a table to eat at
Starbooks Each Wednesday
Lots of new supplies
New Music system with disco lights
More and More to come!
I am so excited to meet you all and to have joined the Comet Club community!
Never a dull moment here at Challenger, especially when we make a chocolate sundae out of our Principal!
Ms. Kessler sure know's how to throw a party to celebrate the good deeds of our students here at Challenger!
Have a sundaelicious weekend!
Hello Comet Club Families! This week, we had our Club 54 Leaders be in charge of leading a cooking project and they made oreo truffles! They worked together, communicated, and helped the younger kids learn how to make the project as well!
I am blown away at how talented these kiddos are! They are not only great at working together, but they listen to eachother, encourage one another, and motivate one another to be better and do better! Keep up the great work parents!
Hope you all have a great weekend and let's hope the sun continues to shine!
We had lots of fun crafting valentines projects this week with friendship rings and cards to give appreciation to all our friendships here at Comet Club.
Lil' Love Monsters and a heart pouch to carry all our Valentines in on today's big day of candy craze!
Have a great Mid-Winter Break!
Thank you for an amazing 15 years! I will miss everyone! Ms. Wendee (RUNI)
Here at Comet Club, we not only celebrated Chinese New Year, but we are also celebrating Black History month. Last week, some of you may have seen our Club 54 ladies lead nutella wontons, which was a fun, and engaging time with all! We used our instapot and the kids got to see what it was like to create their own delicious treats! For Black History month, this week we made Banana Pudding Cups! The Club 54 ladies helped lead this as well!
Not only does this give everyone an opportunity to learn more about other cultures, but it also allows for leadership and engagement for all!
Stay tuned to see what else we make!
Hope you all have a great weekend and stay dry!
