Coyote Club got its first official handmade bird house! I had a fun time building this at home and bringing it in for the kids to paint. The kids were so eager to be able to paint the house, each day I would get a question 'is the bird house finished yet?'. Finally, it's all painted and put out on the porch with our new bird feeder as well. Be sure to check it out!
We hope you enjoy your Mothers Day and feel lots of love! Here is a video of the kids saying why they love their mom. - Ms. Lindsey
The kids sure thought it would be funny to prank me this morning once I arrived... and were they right!! They got me good!! The first two pictures is what they had waiting for me along with a plastic spider on my chair hiding under a Kleenex and another plastic spider in one of my bags near my desk. EEEKKKK, I screeched! Then I heard and saw a bunch of giggles and smiling faces from the kids. But wait it gets better... While they were in school, I decided to give a little payback and teepee all of their classrooms and desks! HAHA! Ms. Erin and I got a giggle out of getting them back. Sure enough, after school when they came to the portables the kids were surprised and I just had to say... APRIL FOOLS! ~ Ms. Lindsey
Coyote Club had a very busy two days of no school and LOTS of fun! Take a look at the pictures and see below all the fun we had! :)
On Wednesday, everyone got to wear their PJ's; bring a stuffy, blanket/sleeping bag and come cozy up in the MPR for pizza, popcorn and a movie. But of course... right when we pressed play for the movie... the power went out!!! Oh goodness that caught us by surprise! But however, that didn't stop our fun, we got out a bunch of mats, some holiday music, lanterns and flashlights to have our very own fort building. Once forts were completed we had some yummy pizza with our friends and had some fun. Finally, the power came back on and the kids got to watch the movie from their fort and enjoy popcorn and hot cocoa all while watch the movie Elf. We also had other fun activities happening that day like kisses BINGO, marshmallow name building, ornament decorating, Holiday games and more!
On Thursday, we were super busy again! We made some homemade ornaments for the Coyote Club tree, had a Gingerbread House challenge which was a BIG hit, had a candy cane hunt, took a virtual field trip with Nickelodeon to space to see how slime works in outerspace! Since we had our elves make a visit back to Coyote Club we of course had to read the Elf on the Shelf book and give our elves some new names, which the kids came up with and voted for Boy: Rusty and Girl: Clara.
We had such a fun couple days with the kids and it was truly a memorable experience seeing everyone have so much fun together and making memories this year. It's always a rewarding feeling when you hear the kids say "This is the best day ever!!!" - Ms. Lindsey

SURPRISE!!! The elves have come back to Coyote Club this year! The kids were so excited to walk in and see who was waiting for them all to arrive. Each day they are getting into something new and it is almost a game for the kids here to see where the elves are hiding next! The kids all decided after we read the Elf on the Shelf story that we wanted to give our elves a new name! Everyone got to give name ideas and then we took a final vote, ending with Rusty and Clara. We are excited to have them at Coyote Club and cannot wait to see what they will do next! Silly elves.... - Ms. Lindsey
