This week at Coyote Club, my awesome co-assistant, Ms. Erin and I had the opportunity to throw our first highlight together! If you aren't familiar on what a highlight activity is, it's a special activity that usually has multiple components and a ton of more planning to it compared to regular activities.
After weeks of planning and brainstorming ideas, our awesome support specialist, Ms. Amy, threw out the suggestion for a Snow Bowl. The idea was to have a Super Bowl type event.
For the Football game, any kid who was interested in participating met me in the gym where I split kids up into teams, went over rules and expectations of good sportsmanship, and they also got to practice for a couple hours prior to the real game. Take a peak at our 2 teams:

There was a bow making station where kids made bows for the cheerleaders or for anyone who wanted to wear a bow.
We had a sign making station where kids made big signs for the teams, we even hung them on the fence for everyone to see!
Lastly, we had a halftime performance show for kids that were interested in giving us some entertainment during the intermission. There were whacky skits, dances, and a small cheer performance.

Have a great weekend!
