Keeping with our food themed competitions we had a Cupcake War to see how well the kids could work together to decorate 12 cupcakes! Each team got a theme and had two hours to create 12 beautiful designs. Winners earned extra cupcakes and some tickets for our prize wall! Check out the pictures to see their awesome designs!
Recently at Impact we started watching the Great British Baking Show when we have a little downtime. I wasn't sure if the kids would get bored of it, as it is so sweet and wholesome and very formulaic (just not a lot of drama!), but they love it! The banter that goes back and forth between the students is hilarious and its awesome to hear how much they already know about cooking!
In response, we created a Master Chef Jr. activity for the kids to compete against one another for the sauce guru crown. Students were asked to create two separate dipping sauces; one for regular fries and one for sweet potato fries. They had one hour to create the sauces from our pantry ingredients. Check out the competition below and stay tuned for our Mystery Basket Edition later this month!
