Here we go!

9/7/2018

Welcome to IMS !mpact! We are so excited to have returning students and new 6th graders in our amazing after school program this year. Check out our September Calendar to get up to date on all of the super fun and enriching activities we will be doing this month! Some of my favorites are slime creations (happening today!), poker club and Unicorn Appreciation Day! In addition to our planned activities, we will also be taking students on walking field trips (think Boehm's Chocolates, Umi Cafe and the Dollar Tree...), as well as off-campus field trips once a month. There will be a screen party at Beaver Lake Middle School coming up as well as a student choice field trip in November!
Still not enough?!?!
We are also running out of a brand new portable! We are lucky enough to have a new space that the students can call their own - complete with a reading nook, a Keurig to meet all the student's coffee and tea needs (don't forget it's BYOM - bring your own mug!), couches seated in front of a bazzillion-inch TV for video games, and a ping pong table! There is a little bit of everything to meet every kid's unique and special interests.
Days 1 and 2:
My name is Ms. Megan and I am the Assistant Site Coordinator for IMS !mpact. This is my third year at IMS and second year as an Assistant Coordinator. I will be blogging about IMS' adventures every single week for the entire year! My favorite thing about working in !mpact is forming meaningful connections with students. Here are a few things about me!

I have dipped a pickle in mustard before and it was really good. I mean REALLY tasty.
I grew up in Arizona raising falcons with my dad and brother.

I recently took up knitting and boxing. Unfortunately I cannot do them at the same time!
I don't like pastries (I know, GASP).
I have a hard time discerning left from right when I'm under pressure.
Please come visit this page every week to get a run down of !mpact's activities and shenanigans!
