That is completely unrelated to this week's blog, but I enjoy it so much, I had to share. ;D
So! Moving on! ;D
I was excited yesterday because sometimes I think we forget that as much fun as it is to follow directions and make something awesome, it's almost as equally fun to be shown the final product and told to figure out how to make it.
Our minds crave the challenge! We like to problem solve! So it was that yesterday, I showed them a Newton's Cradle we had, put it away and out of sight, then told them their job was to make a Newton's Cradle using popsicle sticks, hot glue, string, straws, and marbles!

Actually, the straws were not part of the supplies initially, but when Jack asked for them, I liked the idea and rolled with it! They were off! Some tag teaming, some by themselves!
Each had their own ideas on how to start. One group made their structure really thick for sturdiness, and then got distracted with awesome decorating, lol. Another built a solid base cleverly raised off the ground, whereas the others all just did a skeleton type base!
Although there was not enough time to finish their designs before they were picked up, I'm hoping those who made good headway and have a vision will continue the challenge today! ^_^
