September 12th, 2019

9/12/2019

Can you believe this week ending on a Friday the 13th?  Plus!  There's a full Harvest Moon tonight as well!  I am so psyched!  This week, we did many fun things leading up to this momentous Friday!  We took advantage of the good weather these last couple days and played some intense games of Infection and Werewolf Tag!  We trekked down into the distant and untamed land of Downtown Issaquah to find and obtain the elusive Pokemon!  One kid challenged our teammate Alex to a game of bump, and after much determination and persistence, won!  );D  New games were taught and played and more creations were created.
One such creation that drew in the most kids I've seen at an activity in a long time was our needle point felting!  For some, it was a continuation of skills past learned!  For others, an exploration into a strange craft where you poke fluff with a needle and it somehow forms into shapes.  Then animals!  Or plant life!  Almost, one could say, like magic.

We had a lot of fun trying out this new craft this week, and some kids are still finishing up their projects!  I am very impressed with the chicken and chick they are in process of making, and I can't wait to see them finished!  =D  *crosses fingers*
