Here at Jaguar Club we like to celebrate some of the lesser known holidays in the world. This Tuesday was Hot Sauce Day! As part of our monthly fear factor challenge we encouraged kids to test how spicy they could take their sauces. Our kiddos were CHAMPS! I seriously underestimated how much heat they could handle when picking up hot sauces at the store. I was worried only 1 or 2 would be able to take it and a few times put back hotter sauces that I thought wouldn't get touched, but by the end all except a few kids were complaining that none of them were particularly spicy! Students were challenged to eat the sauces off a spoon, hold them on their tongues, and even gargle them! The challenge was so popular we had to combine tables and even then it was still cramped.
As you can see a few kids got a little red, but everyone had tons of fun chanting, cheering, tasting, and competing. A huge thanks to Ms. Olivia for her amazing MC-ing and to our regional supervisor, Ms. Amy, for taking part in the fun!
Since the kids clearly came out on top, we may have to have a Jaguar Club vs. Hot Sauce rematch. Stay tuned!
Although we always make sure to have ways for the kids to have fun and get our their wiggles (and get in their workouts!), this week was extra packed with fantastic physical fun! Playing in the gym, playing outside, playing flashlight tag after dark (and sometimes just playing outside with flashlights in the dark), a glow stick party, we just kept on moving! Check out the fun below!
Remember, there's not school this Monday, January 21 so enjoy the long weekend!
Our party will be on Wednesday, February 6. Some kids even helped design the signs on the front door (check back soon for a digital copy)! We're currently gathering suggestions as to what their next reward should be!
Have a great weekend and congratulate your kids on a job well done!
