It was me! Muahahaha! On Wednesday I stole some of Ms. Olivia's grandma's famous extra dark chocolate cake! And I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for our meddling kids! They spent a while deciphering puzzles and using their detective skills to figure out that it was I! After they figured it out I had to reward them for their troubles by giving each of the detectives a piece of the cake (in the form of a cupcake) and I got the cake smashed in my face. Fortunately they were kind and I got to have my cake and eat it too. :)
I hope you enjoy the last Friday of the school year!
This week we have seen a number of strange creatures around Jaguar Club and we sent the kids off to try and capture them on (digital) film. What they came back with was truly astonishing! There were stuffed animals that looked amazingly like some of our kids, ghosts (that also looked surprisingly like some of our kids), what may have been the Loch Ness Monster (or maybe an elephant) here on vacation, some fairies, and even a Bigfoot sighting! Should we submit any of these to the professionals for further investigation?
Although all these mysterious sightings were fun, perhaps the most fun was simply getting to use a camera on their own and capture what they saw. :)
Have a great weekend!
This week we put our green screen and funny bones to the test!
We found some hilarious mad lib scripts that the 3rd-5th graders cleverly filled in, acted out, and recorded for the enjoyment of all of us here at Jaguar Club! And now for the enjoyment of you all at home! *ahhh the power of technology*
From a wacky dentist scene, to the nontraditional telling of 'The Three Little Pigs', I give you our Mad Lib Movie Theater highlights!
Credits to the one and only Jimmy Fallon for giving us the funny idea!
and have a SUPERB weekend!
Thank you so much for coming out and having an awesome time with us last night! All of the staff had an awesome time at our family night last night and we hope you did too! For those of you who couldn't make it, we had Rad Ceramics come out with pieces for everyone to paint and a TON of food. We can't wait to see how all the pieces turned out when they come back on the 20th (or maybe even earlier if we're lucky!). Check out the fun pictures from the night below.
Once we get the pieces back, hopefully we'll be able to upload some finished-project shots too!
Enjoy your weekend and remember, summer is just a few weeks away! :)
