What do you get when you combine Jaguar Club, pizzas, families, crafts, Legos and games? Pure awesomeness. We had an amazing November filled with awesome turkey crafts, pies and thankfulness activities, but the highlight in our eyes, by far was being able to spend some time with this community at our Family Game Night. Our team was thrilled to be able to spend the night getting to know your families better, and hopefully you all had a good time as well. Don't worry if you missed out on the festivities. We will be having one more family night this year, and will be sending more info out in the new year. On a last note, as some of you may have noticed our team discretely took a photo during the night. Please enjoy this Family Game Night edition of Where's Waldo. How many staff can you find?
Ms. Brooke brought a new gym game to us on Wednesday from her time at Creekside: Hula Hoop Hop! Kids travel along a trail of hula hoops by hopping from one to the next, battling it out through Rock, Paper, Scissors when they encounter another student, each trying to make it all the way through the trail.
And a huge thank you for all your patience on Wednesday while they were testing the fire alarms.
Have an awesome weekend and start to December (wow!)
Jag Bucks are BACK! Beginning earlier this month, Jaguar Club kids began to earn "Jag Bucks". Jag Bucks can be earned many different ways, most of which are earned when they are seen doing something:
For example, if a staff member sees that a student is helping to pick up trash, they would get one Jag Buck.
Jag Bucks can be used in two ways: at the Community Bank or for their Personal Bank (see picture below). Our first Jag Store will be on December 12th. The more tickets each student earns and puts in the Personal Bank, the more "bucks" they have to spend at the store. Our store will have prizes such as squishies, Pokemon cards, stuffies AND MORE!
Stay tuned for more information on our pizza and movie party event that will take place once our Community Bank is full!
Sorry for the hiatus folks-technical difficulties, but we're back! What do you think you could build with just plastic cups, wooden cubes, and popsicle sticks? I know I definitely wouldn't have come up with some of the things our kids did today! They were balancing, stacking, doing magic tricks, nestling, and so much more! They built towering towers, intricate cities, and all sorts of astounding indescribable creations. Although it was disappointing when their creations, that didn't stop anyone from going right back to building. And the squeals of both excitement and disappointment certainly got the attention of other kids! So many were interested we had to dig out more cups. We'll definitely be brining this back in the future!
Have a great weekend!
P.S. Keep checking back, we have loads more photos that we hope to keep uploading!
Halloween has come and gone, but that doesn't mean all the decorations need to go away! To start this transition, last Friday we made stuffed bandana pumpkins. Plus it was Bandana Day! The perfect way to celebrate. These pumpkins were just spooky enough to make adorable Halloween decorations, but cozy enough to keep up as Thanksgiving décor. Not only did we get to make something awesome, we all got to practice threading needles, tying knots, and stitching!
