Saturday is officially the first day of fall, but what better way to say goodbye to summer than by flying some kites? Kids each got a plastic kite template and got to decorate it however they wanted. Some colored on them, some wrote messages, some even tried gluing various objects onto their kites! Some kept the tails on, others took them off. Everyone really got to make their kite their own. Then, with a little help assembling the final braces and attaching the string, they got to go out and go fly their kites! The weather was perfect, windy enough for them to fly (especially with a little help from the kids running around) but not enough to get their kites tangled. There were even some awesome kite races!
Have a happy start to fall! :)
