Hello!
January was a good month at Maywood !mpact. We had Mudhouse Pottery come out (as you saw in Mr. Logan's post) and here are a few of the final products! Our students are so talented!
We also celebrated National Spaghetti Day. We had four different pasta sauces to taste & we all tried to guess the different types with our taste buds! We also made structures out of fettuccine noodles & play dough. And of course we made spaghetti noodles as well as our own pasta sauce from scratch!
This past January we pulled out the hot cocoa and some canvases for a relaxing afternoon painting and sipping hot cocoa with our !mpact friends.
You'll see yet another photo of Fiona and the crew taking embarrassing selfies on the site phone, haha!
There was an activity we did over winter break that I thought our Maywood kids would enjoy! We made houses out of Popsicle sticks and hot glue, then attached balloons to see whose needed the least amount of balloons! You'll get it if you've seen the movie UP!
Last but not least, we had our monthly field trip. This time we went to Issaquah Middle School with all of the other !mpacts for a night of games, games, and more games! We had a line up of different generations of Super Smash Brothers as well as game show games, board games & card games, and gym games!
Thanks for reading! See you next month!
