This week K-2 did a couple turkey art activities. On Tuesday afternoon we combined shaving cream with food coloring to make puffy paint turkey pictures. On Wednesday afternoon we decorated glass ornaments with paper feathers stuck on using glue dots. Then we filled the ornaments with some cocoa pebbles cereal.

Puffy Paint Turkeys
Happy Friday, Mustangs! This week, we did an easy and fun art project using tape and water color.
All you have to do is cut out pieces of tape and place it on the watercolor paper. Wherever the tape is placed, there will be negative space. Once all of your tape is placed, it is time to start painting!
Let the paint dry just enough so that it will not run and carefully peel up the tape.
Check out the final results!
Have a great weekend!
On Wednesday afternoon Ms. Jenny went around to several of the rooms with these leaves and sharpies to asked the kids to write down something that they are thankful for.
Here is what they said...
This month at Mustang Club we are focusing on thankfulness. We started creating our fall tree. On this tree we will have hand prints as the leaves. Phase two will be attaching the hand prints and other fun fall-themed accents. Check back for more to come on this. :)
Have a wonderful week! :)
The days are shorter, the air is colder, and all the leaves have fallen off the trees! Mustang Club has taken advantage of the accessible leaves by creating many projects with leaves we find on the ground.
For this project, we made imprints of fallen leaves onto clay hoping to turn them into dishes for friendship bracelets, rings, and more! Once the leaves have been gathered, roll out the air dry clay and press your leaf into the clay.
Although many of us made leaf imprints, some students took the chance to make their own unicorn creations. Check out the final results!
Stay tuned for more unbeLEAFable crafts!
We celebrated our two Students of the Month for October, Noah and Anagha.
They go out of their way to help others, they are courteous with staff, and are very kind with their peers. We are so proud of you two!!
Happy Halloween, Mustang Club! This year, we had an all ages Monster Mash Halloween Bash in the gym. Students listened to some spooky Halloween music while playing with any gym equipment their hearts desired.
In addition to free choice, we had plenty of toilet paper to Mummify a Mustang!
Following our gym party, we went to the Game Room to make some delicious Candy Corn Punch.
To make this punch yourself you will need:
We hope everyone had fun on Halloween. This week we enjoyed making pine cone owls. We had a lovely continental breakfast. And on Halloween we had some friends join us too. Have a great weekend.
Thank you so much Mustang Club Families for making our Family Night - Trunk or Treat so special and successful. It was so much fun because of those awesome costumes and a lot of Families in attendance. We hope that everyone had a good time. Enjoy our pictures below.
On Tuesday afternoon our K-2 played with the combination of crayons and liquid water colors to see how they looked when layered over top of one another. In the end everyone came away with some cool and somewhat real looking spider web art. If only real spider webs had this much color!
