This week we made a fun winter themed craft called Penguin Poppers. These are little penguins that pop out projectiles, much in the same way that slingshots do.
We used Styrofoam cups as the base of our birds. Then, by cutting off the bottom of the cup, we created an opening for our projectiles to release from. The rubber bands created the sling that would propel the objects out. After we finished construction on our "Popper", we began crafting our penguin skin to overlay the base.
Not only did the kids enjoy making these little penguins, they had a blast practicing firing them off.
