The weather seems to have finally turned a corner into fall, and I can't think of a better season to hunker down with friends and write! This year we are focusing more on the "creative" and less on the "writing," and this has manifested into quite a few comics! We still (for the most part) pick out prompts from the pile to get our comics started. The prompt for the above comic (drawn by Cynthia, Grade 5) was "'What's that??" "My cat." "Cats don't have eight legs!'" This week also saw the edition of two younger kiddos, a kindergartner and a second grader. They both wrote until the very end, and I loved reading their work! I hope that we continue to have younger friends join us. With the influx of comics, our club has decided that we might like to publish some form of comic book this year. We've been talking about comic formats and types, and will be working on a final plan soon!
Stay tuned for more exciting CWC news!
Have a happy weekend,
