*Grand Ridge Kindergartners attending Challenger and Endeavour may choose to register for Grand Ridge or the school they attend.

  • All field trips will leave at 9:30 AM and return by 4:00 PM unless indicated

JUNE 23
WELCOME CARNIVAL
Welcome to Summer 2017! Get ready to travel to far off lands and explore different eras this summer at Grand Ridge Club Connection!  We are kicking off camp carnival-style with a welcome ceremony, inflatable obstacle course, bouncy house, and lots of fun games.   You’ll get to know your camp counselors and learn more about the fun activities we have in store.
​ADDITIONAL NOTES
Bouncy houses will be on-site today - wear/bring socks! Permission is included in Summer Camp registration.

JUNE 26 - 30
EGYPT
Walk like an Egyptian as you are dropped into the land of mummies, pyramids, kings and queens!  You will have the opportunity to customize your own Mudhouse pottery, hunt for buried treasures among the mummies tombs, and explore 2000 BC with hieroglyphs, pyramid, and jewelry making.  Field trips include Whirly Ball, Pump it Up, and Family Fun Center.

GREECE
If you seek fun, Greek is the week to come! Join us as we jump into our Time Machine and travel to the times of the ancient Greek culture. While we are there, we will be taking a pit stop on the coast of Italy for some delicious Sicilian pizza! Chariots, catapults and a trip to the North Bend movie theatre are all in store for this fun-filled week.

JULY 10 - 14
MEDIEVAL
We are strapping on our seat belts and taking a ride at warp speed in our Time Machine straight to the 15th century! A time with metal armor, castles and Vikings! Campers will be on the lookout for dragon eggs and try their hand at jousting with pool noodles. Anabel’s Attic will be on site for kiddos to learn more about the art of metal stamping - a trade that was perfected in the Medieval Times. Our 4th and 5th grade campers will be heading Wild Waves and our younger kiddos will get to check out Chuck E. Cheese – it’s going to be an awesome week. Also, our 5th graders will get the opportunity to travel to PCMS to play Humans versus Zombies, our signature !mpact game, campers don’t want to miss it!

PIONEER WEEK
Get your wagons ready, Pioneers! This week we will travel The Oregon Trail in our own life-size version of the popular computer game. We’ll be exploring the nearby wilderness and learning important survival skills along the way. Our oxen (buses) will also be carrying us along to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium as well as Lynnwood Bowl and Skate! Woot! So tie your bonnets on tight and get ready for a wacky and wild ride through the pioneer times!

JULY 24 - 28
WILD WEST
Hey y’all! Welcome to the 6th week of summer! Y’all better grab your ropes and your saddles because we’re goin’ to be galloping back to the Wild West to teach campers how to be real Cowboys and Cowgirls. We’re goin’ to be able to interact with some of the wild life here at Grand Ridge, after all a good riders gotta be in touch with their surroundings. There’s also an enormous watering hole called Henry Moses (Renton Aquatic Center) we’ll be traveling to and exploring the vast wonders surrounding it. Campers will also be a part of our Lasso Training, Gold Mining, Water Balloon Draws and a grand ol’ Cowboy BBQ. All of our campers will also be supporting our Marnier’s at Safeco Field!

  • Animal Encounters will bring a petting zoo to Grand Ridge on 7/24. Animals will include familiar barnyard favorites and fascinating exotic animals. JULY 31 - AUGUST 4
20'S AND 30'S 
Our Warp speed is picking up and we are blasting straight to the 1920’s and 1930’s. Lights, Camera, Action! You guessed it, all this week campers will be making their own Black & White silent films at Club Connection. It will all end with our very own Oscars ceremony. We will explore Old Hollywood, try our hand at typewriters and even have an assembly line relay race! Campers will be traveling to Seattle throughout the week to visit the gorgeous Seward Park, Pacific Science Center and our older campers will get to explore and play at the UW Hub. Sweet!

AUGUST 7 - 11
50'S AND 70'S
Music, dancing, and colors…oh my!  We have landed in the 1950s – get ready for the poodle skirts, greased hair, the soda shop experience with special guest Audrey who will be leading cupcake decorating, flower power and emoji paintings.   We end the week with a groovy music festival – get your tie dye on and be prepared to rock out with music you’ll be creating.  We will be chillin’ at Steel Lake Park and rockin’ out at Family Fun Center this week.

BLAST TO THE FUTURE
If my calculations are correct, the time machine has hit 88 mph and has taken us to the future.  We end our last week of summer on-site with an epic game of laser tag, an opportunity to create robots that we take over the world and a farewell carnival with an obstacle course.   Come join the fun and register for an incredible summer at Grand Ridge!
